Sabbath Morning Live
Maskwacis Onsite Feature
Relax and enjoy the new, mellow format of Sabbath Morning Live. Pastor Lyle Notice takes us into the heart of the Alberta Conference’s Maskwacis Outreach to meet new people—including members of the Maskwacis SDA congregation—and experience some MANS classroom action.
You’ll meet the new MANS chaplain and pastor of the Maskwacis company, Tsolo Sebetlela, who worked in Maskwacis while a student at Burman University and Hadassah Koester, a Burman student who coordinates the children’s program of the Maskwacis congregation and also works for the Samson Cree Nation on the reserve, along with some young Maskwacis community leaders who are part of the Maskwacis Adventist company, Aiyana Potts and Juliette Rain.
Pastor Lyle will talk with Chief Vernon Saddleback’s son Joshua, who attended MANS and went on to graduate from MacEwen University before returning home to work with youth, drawing on his MANS teacher role models. We’ll get inside MANS’ Construction class with the new principal, Mike Willing and into the Cultural Studies classroom with some elementary kids and teacher Janice Clark, and hear from departing principal and new Conference superintendent of schools, Gail Wilton.
Don’t miss this update on our school and Indigenous perspectives on Adventists in their community!
